They're looking really nice in motion.

Not a great start for the Moose to find themselves down 3-1 but with the addition of forwards they can now get back into games. Four straight gave them a 5-3 lead and that’s how it would end as they sweep two-game series with IceHogs.

They improve to 18-6-0-1 in Winnipeg and 29-17-2-1 overall.

Goals:

Mallot has been on a tear lately but he wasn't that good early this year. Poganski was probably the Moose best forward early in the year. I think Gus is more likely the next call up

Is Heinola back to the Moose a paper transaction for cap reasons? Will the Jets just recall him again on Friday?

I think he gets in some games. If Pionk is healthy no need for the emergency recall, and doubt the Jets take him to BOS to sit in the box some more. This Moose road trip is a long 'un at 8-9 games or so.

I'm just going to be direct here: Holm hasn't been good and thus far I've seen nothing that makes me think he can be an NHL caliber player. I hope he proves me wrong.

Guess it's why I should pay attention past a 4-1 lead with less than 10 to go in the 3rd period....yikes.

Ville Heinola goal:

Declan Chisholm goal:

David Gustafsson goal (beauty):

The Moose had the tables turned on them as the Canucks scored three times in a few minutes late in 3rd to tie the game and send it to OT where Abbotsford won to split the series. Manitoba heads to Iowa with three of four points to start the road trip and riding a seven-game points streak (5-0-1-1).

Overall, he's been horrible - but he has been good his last couple of games, FWIW.

Edit: Oops, hadn't seen yesterday's results. Back to horrible.

He has been disappointing this year, slow and playing poorly in terms of positioning all too often. The difference between Holm and, say, Eric Comrie at the height of his AHL powers is pretty damn stark.

Would be nice to see Moe up here for a bit to gauge where he might be versus Berdin/ Holm, because the goalie pipeline is looking pretty bleak atm.

Not a great 40 minutes for the Moose but this team isn't really ever out of games. This goal by CJ Suess late in 2nd helped:

As time wound down in the 3rd Mikey Eyssimont ties the game:

Wasn't all good news as Jets 2018 5th rounder Declan Chisholm got a bad slew-foot. He had to be helped off the ice:

#2 Moose vs #1 Wolves last night in Chicago:

After going down 2-0 Manitoba stormed back with three straight goals to make it 3-2 after 40:

Jeff Malott in his office scored his 19th:

Mikey Eyssimont is a sh-t disturber who can also put the puck into the back of the net:

CJ Suess with a nice individual effort to give Moose the lead:

Ultimately Wolves would tie it in 3rd and then win game with three seconds left in OT.

Manitoba is now 3-1-2-0 on this seven game road trip which concludes tonight against Rockford and they are 7-1-2-1 in last 11 games.
