The Oilers have to have the worst wingers in the league this season. It's unreal how impotent they are, all of them.
Connor Brown is ASS, again. This season he has a lot of company. Gee who thought bringing in losers like J Skinner was a horrendous idea? Guy is a career floater that has never improved any team ever. What a clown offseason settling on this roster. Org doesn't even have a plan. Lets get all these tired dogs that don't move a needle and lose a handful of prospects/pace players. By the 3rd period Habs were skating Circles around us.

Connor Brown was one of the worst floaters out there. Flush.

Eh he might. It’s close to original home and his buddy Ebs is there.

Even if he did I'm not sure Seattle is our best trading partner.

I mean the only goalie they're gonna offer is Grubauer and uh well the last 4 seasons he's posted .889, .895, .899 and .881. Plus he's making more than double what Skinner makes.

On defence all they're gonna offer is Mahura or Oleksiak. I'm not sure any of that moves the dial.

Jeff Skinner has the same amount of 5v5 goals as RNH, Hyman, & Podkolzin combined, all while spending significantly less time in the top-six than them.I truly can't understand why a team that ranks last in the NHL in SH% is playing their shooting winger on the fourth line.

Yeah Knob might want to stop playing 4D Chess here. He's going to get himself fired being a dummy.

Knoblauch isn't a fan. At least that's what I'm gathering from this.

He started the year shot out of a cannon and was our only forward producing for a while. Then he had a stretch of 2 or 3 rough games, was demoted to the 4th line and hasn't seen the light of day since.

Knob has such little faith in Jeff that he literally has him playing a support role on PP2 rather than the bumper.

To be fair to Jeff Skinner too, the play where he got "danglezed out of his pantzzzzzz" in the Nashville game I think (?), he skated over to cover for Corey Perry who was late getting back, I don't think he really should have been benched for that.

Emberson was yelling for one of the forwards to move over, so Skinner went across.

I've said this before but I still think that even if we kept McLeod, Foegele and Holloway we'd still be struggling. This doesn't look like a personnel problem only.

Yeah the drop in production on the PP and from Hyman and RNH ... those guys wouldn't cover that, they'd probably just score at the same rate they did last year give or take.

FRom a coaching pov its usually work habits, presentation, how the guy practices etc. J Skinner was arguably our worst forward in preseason. Did absolutely nothing and he's an adventure usually in GA. The thought is probably that Skinner needs protection, weak opposition and line matching not to be his usual GA disaster. This was a heavily flawed player coming in that hs never had a complete game or bothered to. Not sure why people thought he was going to suddenly be honest here. Man, this guy is makng 13M this season to be invisible.

Honestly, they need to change the way they play. We have the players I think to do damage on forward. They are just too perimeter. They don't play dumbed down hockey enough. Get a better goalie and a top 4 dman and we are rolling. If Big Di** Kane from that CGY series comes back, watch out

2 or 3 rough games, yes.

But also it's astounding to banish him to the 4th line with the rotting corpse of Derek Ryan when you watch our top guys make game-changing mistakes and nothing happens.

On Saturday, after gifting Toronto the tying goal, Bouchard was still out there. Where he then gift wrapped the go-ahead goal. After which, HE WAS STILL f***ING OUT THERE
