I have no problem with Eller sitting (assuming he's healthy). He's been looking lost, not engaging as physically, not setting up plays or creating as many chances. His mental game has been in a rut before, and he's sat a game or two. The break has done him a world of good -- he's come out more focused and his game becomes more effective. Whatever the reason -- confidence, concentration, anger -- Eller's game is largely determined by his mood.

And no, it's not Desharnais's fault.

Prust at center is going to be so laughably bad. All things aside.

I think we shouldn't jump the gun. I don't like MT, but his changes always work in the short-term, probably because benching one unexpected player gives everyone a little kick in the ass. I have a good feeling the habs will win tonight, Bourque will score. This will feed the narrative that Eller is the problem, but this change will be a short-term thing, Bork will go back to shooting blanks and the team will continue to look off.

Prust has been hot garbage so far this year, no physicality and intensity. The next player who should be scratched is between Prust and Bourque.

Or maybe its a way to get the core players attention to wake up, and eller is the first one to bite the bullet.

I doubt it though. As someone said before in another thread, its possible that MT slots eller into a role that does not match with eller's internal expectations. Thats one scenario that can lead to internal issues.

The internal issues can be very easily caused by the type of bench management we have been priviledged to thus far.

The only problem I have is singling him out during and after a game where everyone was awful and where Bourque was arguably as bad or worse than Eller.

Really? I like Prust this year so far, a million times better than last year. You're right, he isn't as physical or as engaged, but I find he's doing the little things right. Last year he was just bad all over.

Better come to play tonight, tho my hopes aren't that high.

They haven't come to play this the last two, rarely come prepared so we will see.

Vancouver has looked pretty good this year so Price likely will need to steal another one

Prust, Moen and Bourque are all pretty much atrocious. Weaver has been poor whenever he's not on the PK. DD is DD.. nothing more needs to be said.

I didn't see the flames game, so full disclosure there.

Having said that, its downright bizarre to scratch Eller. The only conclusion I can come up with is that there are some internal issues here.

or maybe it is a test for Bourques to see how he will react...either way, i was not for scratching Eller. But, it is true that we don't know everything. And they are harder on the player they think can do more, a little like the attitude they had with Subban. If it is something else , we will see quickly.

10 games in and MT has single handedly killed my optimistic youth movement Buzz.

GTFO dump and chase particularly with slow veterans. :help:

No I wasn't. You mean on campus? I do work downtown on Monday's, but I'm closer to the Mcgill campus than UQAM. A lot of people look like me lol

Absolutely fantastic GDT there Roy. :handclap::handclap: I've even bookmarked as it's my favourite one of the season so far.

Canucks are a much better team than last year; I am expecting a good game from both teams.

Hope to see Galchenyuk back on the scoresheet tonight. This is looking too much like last year... after he got his first 7 points, he was shutout for the next 5 games last year and so far the next 3 games this year.

I can also fix Eller's whoes, the Habs' PP, LG's marital problems, Tricia's cooking, Whiskey's commitment issues... but no one's asking me :shakehead

Eller runs Whoes? :sarcasm:

Pimpin' ain't easy :D
