Hey, everyone, just joined the site and I just want to say that I really hate Tom Gilbert and I wish he wasn't on the Habs.
Aside from that, I'm really looking forward to the game tonight.

Also, Buffalo is leading Boston 2-1 with about 5 minutes left in the third, so there's that.

Tom Gilbert is a good clean and honnest hockey player, he's fine in my book.

The only problem I have is singling him out during and after a game where everyone was awful and where Bourque was arguably as bad or worse than Eller.

Yeah, the team was gassed. I've seen better transitions during a colonoscopy.

As for Bourque, he is what he is. It's not like he'll learn his lesson if he's benched. Eller, on the other hand, has a higher upside which he can reach with the proper prodding. When he's on, he's a Tasmanian Devil out there, spinning and banging and battling and zooming in on the net. But when he's off, he's like one of those kids toys that spins around real fast but doesn't go anywhere.

Welcome! You're off to a fast start, already finding a player you hate. You'll fit right in.

As to Buffalo -- whoa!! Have to go watch!

I wonder if Price will have family in the building tonight for extra motivation? We are playing in BC after all.

Price is 5-0-1, 1.48 GAA, 0.959 SV % is his last 6 starts against the Canucks. Seems he gets pumped to play the Canucks. Hope the trend continues tonight.

Jiri Sekac n’est pas à l’échauffement. Eller, Bournival et Bourque sont là. #Habs

Wondering if still facing effects.

So, if Eller is in (hopefully), and Bournival in as well... Who's out ? Moen ?

It's not about ''learning'' your lesson. It's about Bourque sucking more and being useless. Bourque with Prust and Bournival. Really?
Eller is not going to bounce back from anything if he keeps being used as he has. It's not going to happen man. Do people understand so little of usage/deployment, that they think scratching Eller is suddenly going to make him into a better player?? As if Eller was the freaking problem on his line and he's the reason they're not doing well?? Come on man. This scratching accomplishes nothing.
Two years ago, after Eller got scratched, he came back to play on the 4th line. That line was playing versus weak opposition, they weren't used in a big defensive role.
So he could create things for himself, and that's what he did. After a failed attempt to merge him to the wing, he was given decent wingers and he blossomed.
He got the opportunities.

This year is not at all the same situation. When he comes back, he probably is going to be given Bourque and Weise again, and it will fail again. That's not because Eller doesn't care or battle hard enough, it's because that line is not going to produce jack crap being used as they are. It's insane to believe that they would.

And at some point, Eller is going to change his game. He started the season playing well with Sekac-Bourque. Sekac got removed for some stupid reason. He was a big piece on that line in creating offense. They worsened the line with Weise, Bourque turned into a ghost. I mean it has to be freaking annoying for the player and it will force him to change his game, apparently for the worse.

It's all very frustrating and stupid.

#Habs: Les trios: Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher, Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Parenteau, Prust-Eller-Bourque, Moen-Malhotra-Weise.

Cakes is not heating. Eller, Bournival and Bourque are.

Yes, this is bad on purpose.

Google translate FTW!

Thank god they are there. Sekac must have a leaky radiator.
