I like trying Dach with Suzuki and Caufield, it may not be a long term spot for him but maybe it can get him going a bit.

Slaf on the 4th is still wrong to me, especially if his minutes are back down to game 1 levels and he's not getting PP time.

If that occurs he should never sit again.

Habs rely on off the rush opportunities primarily.

Dvorak is going nowhere, he's signed for 2 more years.

If they trade him it's going to be during the summer not at the TDL.

And Monahan will probably get more value if he can show he can still play center effectively.

Teams in contention often look for depth centers at the TDL.

I think Monahan will have more value as a 40 - 50 point winger that everyone knows is good on draws and can play center when needed, than as a 20-35 point center...

We should trade all vets that can bring back good returns. We have Suzuki, Beck, Dach, and Evans already at center, plus whoever we draft. 40-50 point Dvorak gets us a good return.

I think Hoffman is not used correctly.

He has one of the best shots in the league IMO.

Not anymore, the guy forgot how to shoot the puck. He resorts to passing on the PP and it always leads to turnovers.

General thought from afar is a balanced squad that plays heavy. Not quite an elite cup contender but in the next tier.

Their makeup is an awful matchup for montreal.
