Prust was going into the box,,,the ref didn't need to stick his head in and rip him.......call the 2 ...different story if Prust was in the box going crazy,but that wasn't the case.......Prust will get a fine likely,but what the ref did wasn't right .

I don't understand your point. All I am saying is that Prust should had just keep that internal for the moment and let his bosses handle the case. Now, Prust is just a skating target for all the officials in the league. He is certainly not the first player tohave experienced that situation with some specific officials.

Habs are finished. Sure they can maybe score a few goals one or two games at best, but than its back to the same old trouble scoring, taking idiotic penalties. Price playing poorly makes it worse since they rely on him to shut out the other team out, or at worst let only one goal in.

I mentioned this before. If you expect Price to shut the door every game, your asking for trouble. This is exactly what is happening.

If you want a laugh go look at TOI. Because if you want to go by TOI saying which line is which EGG is still the third line. Eller 14:38, guy who was benched Flynn 14:18..Chuckie TOI< Mitchell, DLR, and 30 seconds more than prust who had 40+ minutes in penalties that game. Perimeter pleks 21 minutes???

You can absolutely expect more from the group on the ice. Gallagher-Patches-Plek-Galchenyuk-DD have a combined 12pts in 39 games!! That's not even subpar, it's a microscopic production from the top 5 guys that are supposed to lead your offense.
Even if people want to claim we're just not that good, we are also not that terrible.
We have issues scoring 2 freaking goals a game. It's not like we're facing these stellar defensive teams either, and for God's sake, we're talking Bishop and Anderson, not superstar goalies.
It's just unacceptable and you simply cannot just blame talent. We're not the god damn Buffalo Sabres and yet we're scoring at the same pace at which they scored during the season. It's beyond pathetic.

People have been discussing the weak and flawed system all year. They discussed the lines used as well saying how they won't cut it in the POs. So what happens in the POs?? We switch the lines..surprise surprise..
What does that lead to? Well, it leads to Markov making a no look pass to no one, or Galchenyuk drop it behind him off a 4-2 rush because there's just no chemistry with the guys.
There's also some pretty freaking weird or flat out stupid decision from the coach.
We start the game well, Patches and Plek rush the net well, a little scrum ensues next to Bishop. Good! We follow this up by...putting Mitchell's line for the offensive zone FOs vs TB's 4th line instead of using our home ice advantage to win match ups and deploy the EGG line there.
Such a stupid decision. With the PP it's the same thing, we are not changing our strategies at all, and apparently, according to Therrien, it's the players not executing (for 2 years).
It's like we're trying NOT to score. It's not all on the coach, players can take some blame too, like Galchenyuk that has a clear opening down the middle as he rushes with the puck but decides to pass it to the wing where Gallagher is in a tighter coverage, although that's likely due to confidence that's been destroyed from playing in such a weak system.

So ya, you can blame talent, but we are seriously under producing right now. We're scoring .02 more goals per game than Buffalo did during the season.

Good post. Confidence is really low for many young players (heck, for some older players too) and the chemistry is off. Instead of playing inspired hockey, I feel like they are robots grinding the puck over and over again in hope of a lucky bounce or lucky goal. I mean, the effort is there, but we simply lack that finishing touch. We're not the most talented team, but we aren't in the bottom 10 either. We SHOULD be able to score at a respectable rate. Like you said, we aren't the Sabres or even the Coyotes!

Burrows did the same thing with Auger.. Didn't get more penalties than usual after that. Some players are already targeted by the refs, this "incident" won't change anything.

The only thing that shouldn't go the media is the thing inside the lockeroom IMO.

I disagree. Prust called out Watson, so now the refs look bad. The last thing they want is to keep looking biased against Prust. They need to look impartial.

My point still stands. Prust might get a fine but I'm sure he doesn't care. Just the opportunity to call out an impartial/unprofessional ref would be worth it. You honestly think it would changed anything that Prust goes to MB and then to the league?

you can see it in this video at the from the 40 seconds mark. The ref kept going at it and 6 seconds later, Prust said something that got himself another 2 min.

Looks like the ref was just waiting for that.

Anyone blaming Prust after watching that needs to get their head out of their ass. The ref was chirping the **** out of Prust and was itching to give him the extra 2.

Refs have their fingerprints all over this game, its ridiculous.

Well if that's how you want to look at it, then I guess we won't beat them these POs, and probably not next year too unless major changes are made right?..

TB at Even Strength, even tonight, have not been better than us. They scored 4 goals on the PP. That's the difference tonight. We have more chances on the PK than on our PPs, it's pathetic.
