Weber is coming off a fairly good game and is a good enough player that he will probably have a good year, but....

It was widely predicted he wouldn't be the same in the faster, smaller east without a mobile partner the quality of Josi to balance out his flaws. He's already not as good as he used to be, and this is not the same enviornment.

He's still a smart player, will easily win puck battles, and destroy everyone who goes near him, not to mention his slap shot is the best we have seen in a while. But good coaches will find ways to exploit him.

I know we should not judge the team after only four periods of play, but nothing they have done has engendered any confidence. The D is slow and is being exposed by what this league has turned into, which is a young person's game dominated by speed.
