This is a good contract. He'll make about what he made all last year in the remaining part of this season. And 3.75 next year. He can re-negotiate in a year since there will be only 6 months left. Both sides win
The thread on the Trade&Rumors board is just.... I have no words.

Bergevin, wow. This man is certainly the right man for this team. Molson should be very proud. He managed to resign PK at a very cheap price, and yet earned PK's respect and admiration.
As for PK, I'm so so proud of him. I expect him to get even better, and I expect him to make Price-like money after this contract, and he'll deserve it. This team is in great shape.

Welcome back @PKSubban1 .. See ya soon buddy!
It ain't that cheap. 3,750 next season.
I gotta say, for someone painted as a selfish greedy immature kid, he showed the exact opposite.
No way he's selfish and greedy by accepting that deal. Also listening to him over the conference, he sounded nothing like an immature kid.
You really believe in that. Wow.
Serious question: is this guy going to get booed at home or not?
This is such good news. I wish it was longer and the thought of PK becoming a UFA in 2 years scares the crap out of me but so happy he's back. I missed the conference call I hope it's posted someplace or is played on RDS again
