Ryder is such a weird skater. Sometimes he gets a burst and he looks so fast. Other times he's slower than my grandpa on skates.

Gallagher is gonna be a pain in the Bruins ass for years haha. I hope he continues to be the sparkplug he is. With the right linemates, coaching and development, he can be our own version of St. Louis. I don't see him maybe putting up the HOF type number MSL has but man, this kid could be like that 05-06 prime era Gionta (before the easy slappers into the chest) and snipe over 40 someday. I honestly see that in him. He's got less stickhandling and shot power than a certain A. Kostitsyn but ten times the drive and willingness to get it off.

He looked fine in Dallas. Almost like he's annoyed at being back here where pressure is high and it ended badly. He might just 2012 Bourque it up in order to get let go to UFA, sign with a team in obscure hockey market and tear it up there.

I don't really see the situation that way. 2012 Bourque had a contract he could sit on, 2013 Ryder has to be good to get his money this summer.

I don't think slacking off is a good idea though since he's in a contract year.

I just think he has an hard time adjusting to the speed of the system. He is always behind the play

When we get Perry you won't think it's that awful, remember the contract, I know it's bad right now, but it will get better. Once Bourque comes back I'm sure it will get better. And I'm sure Ryder is adjusting also right now, he's never been a hardworking guy but when he finds a hole and can shoot he rarely misses.

The "contract" thing is so overdone on here. 4.5, even at a 25 goal clip is fine. People are fine paying that for Gionta. Cole was something the team didn't have and filled a big time need. Slow start, who cares, give him the benefit of the doubt. The guy had the heart of a lion and loved being a Hab.

Anyways, I'm sorry, I'll shut up. Go Habs and hopefully Ryder gets it going. It's not him I dislike, it's the timing of the move. It's not like Cole would be unmovable in the offseason. He's a good hockey player and ~13-15 games doesn't change that, neitehr would 48.
