Those who thought Holden had a good game didn't watch the same game I did.
I dont think anyone thougut he has a good game. I don't understand how someone thought Kempfer was good...maybe he only saw that one shift where he had 2 good hits?

I thought if there were a way to turtle, that was the way to do it in the 3rd period. They did a much better job of playing keep away than last season where they let the other team blitzkrieg Hank and hoped for the best. Buch is much stronger and better conditioned from last year. It's impossible to argue against his lack of strength and conditioning with the way he looks this year. I like this version of Marc Staal, and I hope this game was a nice wakeup call to Brendan Smith. I want to go back to 12F and 6D though. Kampfer can't be getting more icetime than ADA.

Feels really good to get one. As we know, lots of home games early. Lets put together a few wins and settle in. I get so nervous at the start of Rangers, Mets, any team I root for because a bad stretch at the start can just kill you. 0-2 hurts, nice to get one back.

I know Staal gets a lot of crap, but anyone else think he's been solid for his type of game? Obviously he's not that good anymore, but he's been doing enough so far to play like a top 4 D. Much better than last season, even if he struggles with the puck.

With Chytil looking to be out, Zib, Miller, Hayes, and DD down the middle when Fast comes back.

Right, my only issue with our forward lineup is that even when Fast returns, Paul Carey is still in the lineup. He's not an NHl'er, does nothing to help the team.

I'd try out Nieves instead, he brings speed and PK'ing. If he's not good enough, go 7D, double shift forwards like we did today. I like that much better than having essentially a useless player like Carey.

If you think Holden-Kampfer were good, please give me some of what you’re smoking.

Hopefully smith sitting is just a disciplinary thing bc he did honestly have a rough game last night. But Holden-Kampfer should never be a thing unless 2 other D are injured. No way they should both be in the lineup at the same time. Even one of them shouldn’t be when the rest of the guys are healthy, especially not when Staal is playing well.

Still has a FML look on his face. D played a much tighter game, probably more tight than they should have to, but it was called for after last night.

You'd have that look on your face too after the amount of work he did. He's tired as f***..haha
