Staal has been very good period

Tony D needs to play better and he won’t be replaced by steve Kampfer. That goes for Brendan Smith too. They deserve their benchings.

I Will be very surprised if Montreal makes The playoffs this year.

Fair win against a poor opponent, the third was really good defensively. Hank was good.
It's hard to draw conclusions from these games. Canadiens had zero offensive creativity, toronto is an offensive monster.
Defense has been the big issue, how's this team going to fare against less extreme teams is hard to say.

Hank was fantastic. Those 1st period goals were bullshit. He looked awesome. Made tons of tough saves and had good control. Good movements and puck tracking. Hopefully he builds his confidence from here.

Holden-Kampfer is atrocious. AV playing them as the 3rd pair with smith scratched and DeAngelo getting 3 mins as a forward should be a fireable offense. Unreal.

Send Chytil back to Czech but we please don’t sign Desjardins to center the 4th line.

KZB is awesome, never separate then. I want the GIf of Buch laying Weber out playing permanently in my mind.

Henrik was phenomenal. Obviously not a well played game by the skaters as evidenced by the huge disparity in shot attempts but if it's a positive I feel like they let up A LOT less prime chances compared to last night based off the eye test which is an improvement.

Good comeback win. Kampfer and Holden were very good this game. Staal has been excellent this year. I know those are three targets on this board but they all had great games.

Buch has improved. His strength and board work is much better.

It's precisely the reason Chytil should go back. He's still a boy. He needs to develop man strength and play a ton, work on his defense and faceoffs.

Team really misses Fast. They're lucky it's early and they're mostly home all month. Need to have four lines that gel. Not really a Carey fan. Hopefully someone in Hartford like a Lettieri or Nieves can eventually replace him.

As for Smith, call me crazy but I watched that video on the Rangers website. He got married this summer and said he went to like 7-8 weddings. That's a lot of traveling and yes you can still hit the gym 5/7 days, but I don't think he's in game shape and is in the dog house for it.

Holden and Kampfer were horrendous

they lost their two best offensive catalysts, Radulov & Markov.
would kill for Radulov and Buchnevich on our top 6. two Slick dynamic Russians.

And to be honest, Staal has been pretty good. He’s much quicker on his feet and making smart efficient plays with the puck. Let’s see if he can keeep it up.

Regardless, Staal, Holden and Kampfer should all never be in the lineup together. That’s ridiculous.

Those who thought Holden had a good game didn't watch the same game I did.

The old Broadway hat was classy. The new hat is pimpin'.

So hard to evaluate this game, because it was a shit show turtle game, but Canadians don`t have the forward depth as Leafs or Hawks. We struggle to finish plays and that`s nothing new.. But Price was very good too in this game. Henrik`s first shutout of the season - best player on the ice tonight, and he was motivated playing against Price no doubts about that.

I don`t like any of the lines at the moment, except Kreider - Zib - Buch line. Skjei had a good game and scored when he hit Weber. So I`ve a notion that AV is going to continue rotate lines - not sure if it helps consitency of our players, or what is he trying to achieve to be honest. Henrik won this game - not AV in my opinion.

I felt AV somewhat killed Nash season so far with his experiments, not sure what is he doing tactically - our 4th line is a mess, but we can`t rush J. Fast back into the lineup.
