As 20 year olds both were mainly down in the AHL.

As a 21 year old Beaulieu spent a little time in the AHL, and only played 15:42 a game in the NHL. And ended up with a mere 9 points. Shouldn't be too hard for Zadorov to match that this year, as a 21 year old.

Last year Beaulieu only played 17:27 a game. And had only 19 points. And wasn't he even scratched some times, or am I thinking of someone else?

As for this year, it's been 3 games. Let's see how it goes for a couple months before getting all excited about how either one is doing.

lol NB >> Zadarov
Why would the habs ever do this trade?
NB is a proven top 4 playing top 2 minutes now alongside Weber. One is +6, the other -1. But no Habs would be dumb not to trade Zadorov for NB.

What makes NB a proven top 4 player? He played the majority of last season as a bottom pairing guy in what was by far his most successful season yet.

He's playing on the top pair right now, but so is Zadorov.

Beaulieu has a career average of 17.57 points per 82 NHL games played. Zadorov is at 16.93 per 82. Not even a full point in difference.. Zadorov's AHL production is far better (per game) than Beaulieu's. They're pretty on par offensively while over their careers Zadorov has much better shot suppression stats.

The only stat that shows them being somewhat even are NHL offensive production which is almost exact. Everything else points to Zadorov.

Zadorov is also 3 years younger than NB.

Everyone knew ROR wasn't going to stick around. Avs got an amazing haul for him. Avs fans were told repeatedly that they wouldn't get anything more than Grigorenko and a 2nd for ROR. We were told repeatedly that Zadorov was an untouchable player.

Now that the Avs got a great haul, we are told that we got "skrewed" (it's screwed btw). Plain and simple, Z is a perfect piece the Avs have needed for a long time. He has sky high potential and the Avs are absolutely handling him the right way as he is only 21.

To suggest he's a bust is completely misinformed. You've proven time and time again you know nothing about the Avs. It's quite hilarious.

are u kidding?? When did i ever suggest he's a bust?? Ive watched him played and hes averaging 15 minutes per games as opposed to NB's 20 minutes per game vs top lines, not third lines. Why would the Habs ever deal a capable top 4 D who can play #2 for a, what he is now, bottom pairing second pairing Dman??
Maybe Z's potential is higher, which i doubt. NB was considered by most scouts a top 10 prospect in his draft, habs fans have had huge expectations from him. Hes been developed very slowly, cuz Therrien things, but now he seems so ready for a top 2 audition and he also dominated the Preseason. In fact, hes been our second best defender after Petry. Weber has been less impressive but more efficient.

Seriously, this argument that their playing time this year, after just 3 games, means anything is just plain stupid.
