You should organize a lawsuit. This just seems like cruel and unusual punishment ( describing punishment that is considered unacceptable due to the suffering, pain, or humiliation of it) for being a Leafs fan.

They saving the best for last ;-)Every pro sports team in Toronto has won in my lifetime except the Leafs.
It may seem (give the impression of being something or having a particular quality.) like that to you. Though I have felt no pain, suffering or humiliation being a Leaf fan. I have felt disappointment after losses ( especially recently) because we have a good team that has not lived up to talent. The exact quote by MLSE Ceo Tim Leiweke from that link was ... "The Leafs are close," he said. (Oct 29, 2013)
That was back in 2013, just before Brendan Shanahan was hired as President of the Maple Leafs in April of 2014. In the 9 years since that MLSE statement the Leafs haven't won even a single playoff round.
Now part owner Larry Tanenbaun quote "The Leafs are close," he said. (June 2022)

They believe that the part of the fanbase that blindly supports everything they do, is bigger than it actually is.The exact quote by MLSE Ceo Tim Leiweke from that link was ... "The Leafs are close," he said. (Oct 29, 2013)

Some have lost the plot and care more about getting rid of Dubas than winning games. They believe that the part of the fanbase that blindly supports everything they do, is bigger than it actually is.
There are far more fans now seeing things for what they are.

At least you are honest. I had figure out what you were saying and help find the words for you, but we can both agree that this is succinct.I manipulated your quote because I disagree with you. I even commiclly claimed it had been Lol fixed and made up a stupid condition to say that I am right.

It was succinct. I am sure you agree with that.Did you think that was funny?
Even more of a (bad) joke than your first post, keep them coming!
How is the condition stupid btw? Because you say so?

I don’t follow the CFL or the soccer team so it makes that 93 Jays Championship seem even longer ago.Every pro sports team in Toronto has won in my lifetime except the Leafs.
You do realize that when/if this plan of Dubas fails and they end up with no cups it will be brushed away as bad luck ...right? They will say that if not for a few gaffes by Dermott and Gally and Kerfoot etc...they would have won. I wonder who the next guy in line is going to be for the gaffe crown next year. This is EXACTLY correct .. but unfortunately he told us arena sponsors recently that he was very happy with Leaf management and reupped Dubie to end of Shanny's deal .. to me now this falls on Larry .. clearly he does not think getting eliminated in playoffs in round 1 for 6 years straight is a big deal .. and no one of those 100-200 sponsors said a negative word about team .. I didn't either .. I make some sales off of it so it is more of a business decision .. and there is still a huge lineup for tickets so I think we are going to continue to get more of same old same old for next 2 years no matter what happens .. maybe just best to ROI my seat license by selling off my tickets next couple years .. I am pretty down about whole thing now

Tanenbaum doesn't have that power. He's just the public face of ownership and is allowed to represent the team at BoG meetings. Bell & Rogers make the big decisions.with all due respect Tanembaum; you have lost the plot for allowing to continue the BS that is the Shanahan/Dubas/Keefe era
Why do you care what others think of this team or franchise.Just what we needed. Extra material for mockery.

“We ran into a hot goalie”
“__________ got hurt in the series“
”bad puck luck”
”________ had a bad game 1/2/3/4/5/6/7
“The refs screwed us”
Did I cover the entire Dubas excuse club bingo card or did I miss anything???
