Mockery? How so?
Um, the team can't win a single effing round and he's promising a Cup but you can't see the potential for mockery???
Mockery? How so?
What can someone say? "Maple Leaf minority owner optimistic despite not having won a round. Hahaha"? How would that affect anyone else besides Tanenbaum? Where is this potential?Um, the team can't win a single effing round and he's promising a Cup but you can't see the potential for mockery???
I wonder if they changed the President, GM and coach?Circa 2013
Tim Leiweke promises Leafs Stanley Cup parade in Toronto
Yes he brought rookie Shanahan in who then brought rookie Dubas in who then brought rookie Keefe in. I doubt that is what Tim L had in mind when he made that statement.I wonder if they changed the President, GM and coach?

LolNot yet, Dubas and co. are still in charge. Fingers crossed that changes soon so Tanenbaum’s statement might have some legit hope behind it.
Add it to the list of what could go wrong.Yes he brought rookie Shanahan in who then brought rookie Dubas in who then brought rookie Keefe in. I doubt that is what Tim L had in mind when he made that statement.
The exact quote by MLSE Ceo Tim Leiweke from that link was ... "The Leafs are close," he said. (Oct 29, 2013)I wonder if they changed the President, GM and coach?

Tim did good things, but I am not sure why Leafs are so hard to manage. Maybe they really cursed? I don’t know. I mean, Raptors got a championship, TFC has one. All thanks to the people Tim brought in initially.
What owner does? And Tannenbaum is mostly a figurehead in the current ownership structure. Bell & Rogers hold the power.
Don’t foget the secret ingredient, Love. Everyone in the organization loves each other. Probably the reason they were all gassed up when TB gave some handshake love. Maybe that’s why they keep saying we’re close.Honour Pride Glory has been replaced by Disappointed, but Hopeful.
This is EXACTLY correct .. but unfortunately he told us arena sponsors recently that he was very happy with Leaf management and reupped Dubie to end of Shanny's deal .. to me now this falls on Larry .. clearly he does not think getting eliminated in playoffs in round 1 for 6 years straight is a big deal .. and no one of those 100-200 sponsors said a negative word about team .. I didn't either .. I make some sales off of it so it is more of a business decision .. and there is still a huge lineup for tickets so I think we are going to continue to get more of same old same old for next 2 years no matter what happens .. maybe just best to ROI my seat license by selling off my tickets next couple years .. I am pretty down about whole thing nowYes he brought rookie Shanahan in who then brought rookie Dubas in who then brought rookie Keefe in. If I could like this comment a million times I would. You just hit the nail right on the head when it comes to this Management Group. It's kind of sad to be honest with you.Exactly. Judging by some comments on this forum how some fans are in love with Dubas/this core, people will keep devoting time and money to this team no matter what. There is no incentive to really improve. They are all content with status quo as was clearly demonstrated in the season end presser. The country club atmosphere is back, IMO.
Did they give a timeframe?Re-reserved my spot on the parade route.
