Never mind. I read the article. It is a nothing sandwich.

There's a small tidbit about not going all in for one season and instead contending for a long time. That combined with Dubas' saying he's not overpaying for rentals at the end of season press conference is interesting.

But otherwise, you're right.

Tanenbaum has a history of inserting himself into things on occasion (Domi retirement contract). The problem is that he has never exhibited any insight into how to build a winning hockey team.

"A stanley cup is the goal", thank god we're one of the few professional sports teams with a championship as their goal... after his record setting 6th first round exit in a row he feels they're close.

All professional v teams have a championship as their goal regardless if they are the defending champs, have never won or have had 6 first round exits in a row and one of the owners feels that they are close.
