Then again...

Article mentions Luis de la Fuente, Rafa Benitez, Mauricio Pocchettino, and Gareth Southgate as either being interested, or as possible candidates.

Don't know de la Fuente.

Hell yes on Benitez.

Yes on Pochettino if Benitez says no.

Viera is alright, but I don't know if he's ready to take on a national team job yet. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose though.

Stay the hell away from Gareth Southgate. Guy is strategically inept and doesn't know how not to gag away big games. I'd rather give Bruce Arena go for his third try at the USMNT gig instead of hiring Southgate.

I wish Klopp was available, because he would be the perfect candidate and could bring the credibility to slap down the egotistical players on this National Team.

That and crooked refereeing explains how they got to the semis of the Copa America
You have to be joking, reffing was horribad against all the Concacaf teams the whole tourney. They got their through skill and determination; the rest of the Concacaf teams were bad.

They beat Peru after one of their guys was sent off for a tackle that was a yellow at worst, then beat Chile when one of their players was given two questionable yellows in the first 23 minutes. It was a bit shady how they got through the group stage.

Also, drone spying.

Yeah, because the tournament needed Canada to be in the final four for rating. They were greasing palms to be the best of Concacaf because they have so much money.

In reality the opposite is true, they may be bankrupt next year. They are losing millions every year, its unsustainable. Canada Soccer has never been in a financial crisis like the one it's in right now.

Worth a read about the state of financial affairs and the lack of available money for training for tournaments or arranging friendly games.

How can you be shady when you can't even afford an umbrella?

This is like a Habs or Leaf fan saying the Bruins had the refs in their pockets because of Daddy Campbell.
