I've been searching/consuming media related to Riqui and one article I found said his shirt was the 10th best selling shirt in the league. They didn't cite a source or provide more information as to whether it's last season or this season.

Miami is totally not the place to play if you want to enjoy your life without being bothered. There are so many Latin American people in Miami. It's not a bunch of college football fans rooting for the U or the Dolphins. It may be a little better than what he faced in Barcelona or Paris, but Miami is not the stereotypical place of redneck Americans who can't name 10 players.

Not saying Miami was a bad choice. Possible the dude didn't factor that into where he chose to play next, but if he wanted to not be bothered, playing somewhere in the Midwest USA like Columbus or Kansas City was the place to go.

Miami is exactly the place to be if you want to be left alone, especially when your team sucks like Inter Miami currently does. They are the most fair weather fans in the entire country, they only care when your winning and not just having a good season type winning, you need to be championship level for them to give a crap. Also it may be full of Latin Americans but has very small Argentinian base. Cubans, Dominican and Mexicans aren't really gonna go nuts for him.

I'm sure you'll see huge crowds early and the occasional swarming him when he's out but in 6 months he can walk down Miami beach and not get recognized once. He would stick out way more if he's surrounded by rednecks and college football fans in Columbus and Kansas City. How many 5'6 Argentinians are walking around those streets?

Miami is the South American hub of the United States. There are people from all over South America, so it’s not a matter of them all being Argentine. You’re right that they aren’t all Argentine. However, they still know who he is, and whether he was their childhood idol or it was someone from their country, everyone still wants a picture with the GOAT.

And believe it or not, Cubans and Dominicans probably watch more football than the average American. They might’ve grown up with baseball as their first sport, but unlike what you find with a lot of Americans where it’s 3 or 4 sports before they’d consider football, it’s likely their second sport.

There are some people from Mexico and Central America within Miami, but it’s a lot less you’ll find in Houston, Dallas, LA, San Diego. Logically speaking, immigrants for the most part tend to congregate in areas based on where they arrived or the best hubs for returning home.

This is very incorrect.

Pretty surprising move but probably a lot of money involved as the Crew sell one of their better players, Lucas Zelarayan to the Saudi league. It does open a DP spot for them though

NE Revs goalkeeper Petrovic is trying to force a move to Europe, he had bids from Nantes and Nottingham Forest

Tough loss for the league but I am sure it was a big chunk of change.

Leagues Cup knockout round bracket is set, already it is known one MLS club will make the quarters before a ball is kicked. Will be interesting to see what kind of attendances these games will get, especially Liga MX vs. Liga MX sides, it's been a mixed bag so far with the worst being the Queretaro vs. Tijuana match in Philadelphia drew less than 1,000 fans. In general the teams who tend to do well in attendance during MLS play still did so in this competition. For the MLS teams eliminated they won't play a match in roughly three weeks now

City in parenthesis is where the match will be played; 12 of 18 Liga MX sides advanced

LAFC vs. Juarez (LA)
Leon vs. Real Salt Lake (Sandy, UT)
Tigres vs. Vancouver Whitecaps (Vancouver)
Portland Timbers vs. Monterrey (Portland)

Columbus Crew vs. Minnesota United (Columbus)
Toluca vs. Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City)
Chicago Fire vs. Club America (Bridgeview)
FC Cincinnati vs. Nashville SC (Cincinnati)

Philadelphia Union vs. DC United (Chester, PA)
NY Red Bulls vs. NYCFC (Harrison, NJ)
Pumas vs. Queretaro (Washington DC)
Atlas vs. New England Revolution (Foxborough)

Mazatlan vs. FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)
Orlando City vs. Inter Miami (Ft. Lauderdale)
Charlotte FC vs. Cruz Azul (Frisco, TX)
Pachuca vs. Houston Dynamo (Houston)

Messi will take Inter Miami all the way to the MLS Championship if they can somehow make the playoffs (not sure if this is mathematically possible at this point).

Doubt they can make the playoffs, remember Messi will not play every game due to international breaks (MLS plays through them) and I'm guessing he won't play every away game. They have a good shot to win the Open Cup (Cincy away is tough but they would host the final should they progress), their path in the Leagues Cup isn't too bad until the quarters where they might face Pachuca

It’s mathematically possible, but they pretty much have to be the best team in the league the rest of the season. Second best likely won’t be enough.

Recap of NYCFC animals err I mean fans last night:

- Took another L against RBNY
- Chanted "puto" at Coronel
- Threw beer and trash from their upper level section down at RB fans
- Ran around like idiots after the game in balaclava face coverings
- One pulled a knife on a fan and got merked by Harrison PD

The Bronx did not send its best. Or did it?
