This feels like a playoff game. The comeback, the crowd, the emotion. ****, they sucked me back in.

It's what they do....it's part of the initiation process....hah.

I said it last night. Mets are like the Mafia. Every single f***ing time you try to get out and say "that's it"...they suck you back in....lol

TFW Seth Lugo is the best relief pitcher on the planet.

Waiting for the Mets to beat a high end team before i buy into them turning this around. White Sox, Pirates, Marlins. Cmon.

I know i will catch shit for this but oh well

f***ing Mets, I kicked my drug problems a decade ago, and yet they still have me hooked. I keep coming back when I know it's just going to f*** me up.

Better to beat up on the bad teams than to not beat up on them. If this just the end result of the soft part of the schedule, the Mets will be brought back down earth very soon sand very quickly.

Hubbs has been a bit over the top lately with the Yankees, but this is a valid point.

Yes, the Mets run has been against undeniably terrible teams.

You can only play who is on the schedule though. I'm sure they'll start losing once they start playing teams with a pulse, but its not their fault that they got a break.

Your right RG...I'm in total agreement. Still not going to stop me and some of the rest of us from feeling that something special is brewing here.

Keep this in mind. Part of what makes the Mets the Mets is losing to shitty teams that they should beat and losing games they should win. So for them to beat up on these shitty teams to get themselves back in sniffing distance of the WC is to be commended.

That said and to your point, they have a tough next 33 games with most of them against either WC contenders, division leaders. Only two teams tho in the NL scare me and they are the Dodgers and the Braves. Other than those two, the Mets can compete quite favorably with them. Sure Mets have their warts still but so do these other teams.

This is the time when pitching is so important and right now not sure there is any staff in baseball that is as good as the Mets staff. I'm thinking if Mets can win 18-20 of these next 33 games, they'll be in the mix till the very end as I don't expect the WC teams to have anymore than 85 or so wins at best.

With Mets now one game over .500, they've put themselves in position to be a factor and for any Met fan who looked at what we were looking at just 3 weeks ago....I'm f'n ecstatic and as excited as I've been about this team since 2015 yet realistic as well....can you blame me?

I very much respect this post.

@East Coast Bias way to bring some quality substance to the discussion. I did indeed admit i overreacted a bit.

Same way that some Mets fans are getting a little ahead of themselves. All I am pointing out is the schedule right now. Yes good teams beat bad teams. But would like to see how they do against better competition before thinking this team has turned it around.

I think they can catch a wild card spot and have the pitching to get to the division series.
