OT: MLB Thread XLVIII

I remember reading an article where they looked at spin rates after the first 15 or so games from when they began the sticky stuff crackdown. Walker was one of the guys on the Mets who posted troubling numbers. The other two mentioned were Castro and I forget who else.

Peterson breaks his foot walking and Stock needs his hamstring stapled back on to his pelvis. Walker has another bad start and I don't even remember the last time DeGrom pitched.

I really hope Yankees collapase even further so the management here would be fired, but then again Hal is a kiss ass to his employees.
 
German pitches his ass off and this is how the b.p blows it again.Best thing for this franchise would be to miss the playoffs,fire Boone and Cashman and sell sell sell

Yeah, having him hot, and adding Nimmo and Davis back into the mix, you actually feel okay about the offense. McNeil is getting hot, Smith has been better, Conforto appears to be getting back on track to a degree, etc.

Gotta hope the pitching can hold up. Hill did okay today. He obviously pitches to a lot of contact so if he loses his command things like the sixth inning will happen.

Sadly they're 3 games out of playing a wild card game.. Hopefully if they do buy it will be players who will be here next year at least (Gallo) or willing to re sign (Story, there's also those rumors and moving Torres back to 2B)

Yankees need to change their entire philosophy tho. They need to care about defense again, they need to care about baserunning, they need to basically go back and learn the damn fundamentals lol

Hey f*** that Toronto lineup, by the way. I swear everyone on their team has 15+ home runs and an OPS well north of .800. Mets did good to take the series.

Was at game today at Citi-Field and told my buddies pretty much same thing about the Jays lineup. They are stacked and loaded but their pitching blows chunks for most part and we are fortunate we took 2 of 3 from them and glad we are rid of them.

Now we got a big 5 game series with a desperate Braves team who are 6 games back of us in the loss column and tho I'd love to take minimum of 3 of the 5 with 4 wins potentially burying their asses, even if we only got 2 of the 5 it wouldn't be horrific as we'd still have them by 4. We are in drivers seat and so let's see if we can step on their throats....hmmm!
