Every f***ing time I just follow along on the app, the damn doubleheader game ends after 7 and I'm momentarily confused. Unless someone reminds me it's a 7-inning game, I forget. Why is the pitcher coming out so early? Whey are they bunting here? Etc. And then it ends and I'm like WTF? You'd think I'd have adjusted by now.

Without fail, I’m like “Oh it’s only the 5th plenty of time.” ESPN and Google need to ditch the 8th and 9th inning columns in the box for doubleheader games.

Looks like there will be no more 7 inning double headers or ghost runners in Extra innings next year so don’t adjust too hard.

Apparently Yankees made an offer for Story, I guess they would move Torres back to 2B and Lemahieu to 1st base and either trade Voit or try Stanton in the OF actually.

When Edwin Diaz pitches like he has since the 3 blown saves last week, it makes the horrific Cano/Kelanec deal a bit more palatable.

Seriously sometimes Diaz can be so damn dominant. A split tonight was essential. Now we just need to get at worst 1 and better yet 2 more of the next 3 to make this 5 gamer with the Braves be a success.

Pitchers are like running backs. Incredibly important but short shelf life.

Apparently this has now hit a snag and is temporarily off. Would be awesome if the Mets swooped in for the steal.

Oh man that sucks. Eickhoff was awful tonight but the Mets need to get a real pitcher and stop playing roster musical chairs with this guy. You're either on the team or you're not.

Yeah hopefully by Friday they have someone new. Carrasco will be back, so hopefully that spells the end of Eickhoff for good.

Eickhoff sucks, but I feel like his DFAs were just paper moves so that the Mets could call up fresh arms for the eleventy billion doubleheaders they’ve had this summer.
