This win is a microcosm of what it's like being a fan of this team.

They are exciting...they are talented yet they drive you to drink copious amounts alcohol.

OK we move on. Conforto has gotten hot finally...big win!

This has got to be the longest game of the year if not two years. I'm running out of vodka got dammit!!
You've been watching this team long enough to know you should be buying the stuff by the crate rather than the bottle!!! SHAME on you!!

Diaz since the sticky crackdown of my math is right.

10.2 innings
9 ER
17 K
8 BB
9 H
.364 BABIP
.231/.392/.359

only upside is every batted ball seems to fall for a bit. There’s definitely been a bunch of cheap ones.

This current Yankees lineup verses the Phillies is giving me flashbacks to those awful Yankees teams from the 80's

Robert Stock is the generic guy that EA includes in the organization because they’re too cheap to pay the licensing fee for minor leaguers.

tfw your emergency starter leaves the game injured after just 3 outs

We might see Dave Jauss pitch before this night is over

I haven't watched full games recently, but Florial has looked good since being called up in a short sample, no? Only a month or so ago, when fans were asking where the hell is Florial as Frazier and Gardner stunk up the joint, Cashman was ADAMANT (when is he not) that Florial wasn't ready despite decent numbers in the minors. Florial had 1 game earlier in the year and didn't look lost (step up from Frazier) and got sent right back down as a reward. Sometimes you take a flyer on a guy and maybe he raises his game. They don't need to coddle every big name prospect.

TBF, Florial's numbers in AAA are pretty pedestrian. And while we have no idea how he looked in Florida last summer, his numbers in 2019 in A+ were downright bad.

Everyone's talked about his natural talent for years, and of course injuries played their part over the last three seasons, so he may well be one of those guys where it finally just clicked. (Let's hope so!) But we can hardly blame Cashman for his stance.

And trust me, I've grown increasingly critical of the Yankees' GM over the last 3-4 years.

Sure, we can wait until he figures out AAA when he's 27 to try him out, and then we won't need to worry about a big second contract, win win

LOL.

C'mon. I just finished saying I've grown increasingly critical of Cashman over the last several years (basically since the season after he acquired Gleyber, Frazier, etc.). I'm just saying this one move isn't worth noting. I mean, he *is* up now, and after only half a season of somewhat mediocre play. That's, uh, pretty aggressive.

Sarcasm was directCashman needed his arm twisted 14 ways to do it. I'm just really annoyed at the group-think that goes on behind the scenes with the Yankees and how they never consider the miniscule % that they may not be able to predict the future perfectly. After florial had a good game, give him another 2! If bad, send down, if ok, give him another 2! Instead of rushing him down after 1 game to hide him so you can preach how he's not ready and appear 'right' again.

My REAL annoyance stems from Analytics BS that is biblical shit for the Yanks like 'playoffs are a crap shoot, regular season success is all we can really design the team for'. YAYYYY the team won 100+ games again, but had first round exit? Oh well, nothing we can do *pats self on back*. I'm all for launch angle, OBP, WAR, and all that good stuff, but how is it other teams manage repeated playoffs success, and Tampa beats our shit in with half the salary? Just puuuuuuure luck I guess
