its not like kelenic has been lighting it up. He has been a strikeout machine and is batting sub-200.

Not that i think this was a good trade. I dont. I hated it then, and hate it still. But maybe Kelenic will flop too so i wont feel bad.

and diaz has been pretty good for us.

Yeah Kelenic has struggled a bit his rookie year but give Kelenic the offseason to clean up a few things, he's going to start living up the hype and be what the Mets hoped Nimmo was going to be. Kelenic is going to be a star...I'd be absolutely shocked if this didn't come to be.

Sure Diaz hasn't been horrible in his Mets tenor and often times has looked absolutely filthy unhittable and one of the best closers in the game. I'm probably one of the few Diaz fans he has left and have defended him to the very end.

But I've seen enough now to say I can't do it anymore...he's gotta go. Mets need to cut bait....he can't handle the pressure here. Mets need to after season ends, see if they can get something of value for him and put Lugo in the role unless they can sign someone else.

This deal orchestrated by Brodie IMO is going to go down as one of the 2-3 worst deals in Mets history and that's saying alot as there have been some doozies(...ie...Jim Fregosi for Nolan Ryan anyone?)...lol

Lugo has got to go. He has been awful. Diaz and the rest of the bullpen will be better with a competent manager.

Lugo is 31, has a fairly lengthy injury history and has been terrible the past 2 seasons. Why do you want to keep him?

This is tough to watch. Its like this team completely has thrown in the towel and doesnt give a shit.Show some damn pride

Still can't get over Sanchez messing up tagging Villar at home plate. Incredibly lazy effort by him on it.

EDIT: Like...Gary had the ball this far out. What the hell

That was some Ben Simmons passing out of an open dunk type shit. It wasn’t the playoffs but it was against the Mets.
I've played catcher for many years in softball...now while it's not baseball, it's similar....I've watched that play a number of times and for the life of me I can't figure out what the hell Sanchez was doing or thinking. He was perfectly positioned when he got the ball -- there was no reason for him to move other than to lay the tag on the runner.

I played catcher. Sanchez was avoiding contact, pure and simple.
