hes come out of the blue. I had to read up on him today bc I really know nothing about him

have you seen any of his minor league starts this year?
I haven't. I usually see a handful of Bingo games each year but haven't made it up there yet.

He did a nice job, rough start to the fifth notwithstanding. He looks more like a reliever to me since none of his secondary pitches are very good. Still though, potential ML-caliber arm out of nowhere is nice in any capacity.

This Mets team goes into phases where they can’t hit at all. Everyone moves in unison. It’s the wildest shit. Everyone mashes or everyone looks like they’ve never played before. Makes me think they’re getting bad scouting reports or something.

James McCann sucks. Oh he will get his hits on mostly meaningless singles. But, in big spots he just withers.

That's really great to win that game. Really good stuff. Particularly after Nola made them look foolish. Great win.

What is Pete doing with all the jerseys he steals on walk-offs?

I can’t believe it wasn’t Jake that broke Seaver’s consecutive K record. I can however believe that it was this injury riddled line up that whiffed that many times in a row.

LOL that ball totally hit the wall before McCutcheon caught it, and McCutcheon's reaction was a dead giveaway. Hopefully that isn't the difference.

EDIT: Ok nevermind, call on the field and review was right!

I am looking forward to this Mets-Yankees series, unfortunately we aren't going to see Cole vs deGrom, they will pitch on different days it looks like. (We all know deGrom is much better anyway).

Absolutely insane how deGrom doesn’t have his grade A stuff today and can still pitch the way he does. Definition of a pitcher right there.

They want to at least give people a chance when they bet the over.

Its absolutely insane the Mets are dead last in runs scored.

More like unacceptable...

They make even mediocre starting pitchers look like Cy Young winners.

Yeah the Mets offense is beyond pathetic. I am obviously aware of all the injuries, but even the healthy guys have been generally bad outside Pete.

Nimmo will be back soon and Davis sooner rather than later, so second half, no excuses.

Yeah, I don't know if that is going to fix it. The most unacceptable things are like not getting RBIs on flyouts with loaded bases and such.

I mean horrific plate discipline. I don't know if its an attitude thing or lack of intensity.

I'm also getting sick with the 'happy go lucky' stuff from Lindor. Especially when he is not playing at his best.
