Cashman is a fraud. Boone is utterly incompetent. Ownership is clueless. Dark times are here for the Yankees. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.

Megill has good stuff.

Brewers are doing a good job getting his pitch count up though.

Mets hitters not doing the same with Woodruff

Pillar stared at a hanging curveball right down the middle of the plate. No outs, bases loaded..

Lets hope that doesn't come back to haunt us..

That's one of the things that guys constantly cite as what makes hitting so hard now--everyone has at least one great secondary pitch and will throw it in any count in any situation. Guy coming into a bases loaded, no out situation, that used to be a fastball almost every time. Now it's a change, or a slider like Pillar took, or a curve, etc. He did the same thing to Alonso who took a huge, awkward swing at it.

Anyway, nice recovery by Díaz. He has looked much more calm and composed this year. Although, he did get lucky on that slider to strike out Peterson--that could have been up in the Pepsi Porch.

Maybe it's just a made up thing in my head or bias, but everytime I can remember seeing Lindor go to the mound to calm someone down or give a motivational "you got this", usually good things happen afterwards.

Francisco's Pep Talk/Inning is tru da roof right now

I saw a thing the other day that over the last 37 games (sort of an arbitrary sample, I know) he has posted an .817 OPS. I know it's not 30 homers and a 130 wRC+, but he's been much better. I still think it's pretty clear he's trying to do too much and putting too much pressure on himself. Hopefully he relaxes. But yeah, you don't often talk about intangibles in baseball but he has them in spades.

there’s definitely a huge amount of self pressure involved. You can see it. There’s been a few ABs lately where he’s come up with bases loaded, and just had horrible ABs. Swinging out of his shoes at the first few pitches.

not sure what gets him out of it. Maybe a huge walk off hit or something. Something to make him feel like he delivered.
