There are plenty of teams that play fundamentally sound baseball, they just haven't been the two teams in NY for a while.

At least the Mets defensively have been sound, just not in this game.

The Mets need to split these games at least. The Brewers series will be tough since they are getting Woodruff and Burnes. DeGrom has the other game of that series. Then 7 straight against the Pirates. They need to take a minimum of 5 of those games, if not 6.

Alonso coming through!!! Idk why the Yankees didn’t just let Green try to finish. Now they are probably down 2 bullpen guys for the nightcap.

And nothing will change. The people running the team are clueless and the owners don't care. This will be the worst franchise in baseball over the next ten years.

Yeah high fastballs against Alonso, the way to go. Why you'd throw something down is beyond me.

Anyway, hell of an inning. Please close it out, LOL.

Nah bank on a Mets meltdown in the nightcap. You guys may be struggling but we're still the Mets.
The Yankees are starting some guy in the nightcap, used their whole bullpen in game 1, and said bullpen doesn't have their foreign substances.

The Mets would have to give up 12+ runs to lose.

I'm a Mets fan but just about everything is going wrong for the Yankees and it all came to a head today and worst of all Mets fans took over Yankee Stadium.

Nobody wants to spend money to watch the Yankees get 3 hits.

You had your supposed ace on the mound though LMAO.

I don't mean to be a dick but holy hell Boone is clueless in this post game presser he is just regurgitating canned responses like a robot except he is stumbling over himself and not giving straight answers

Yeah, but Cole hasn't been playing like an ace for like 6 games.

Mets needed that win cause the Brewers aren't gonna be easy.

No, don't. The Yankees knew his spin rate doubled in 2017 on a team that got busted for cheating. They get what they deserve.

The way I look at it: it was probably kinda shitty to make the changes mid way through the season.

I can understand that argument. But, then again plenty of pitchers have adjusted fine to it.
