That Hal Steinbrenner zoom call with the media before this afternoons game should be worth a listen
 
Steinbrenner’s should sell. Cashman and Boone should be fired.

Until at the very bare minimum the latter two happen, I have zero interest in this team. Zero. I f***ing despise Cashman. He is the most overrated GM in all of sports. I am sick of his ‘I am smarter than you’ arrogance with all his bullshit “low key” analytics trades and signings. 20 years, 1 WS. Fire this imbecile already.

He's a fraud. I've been saying it for awhile. It's amazing that he hasn't come under more scrutiny in a media market like NYC.

because the Yankees have control over a lot of the message. There’s a reason people jokingly call YES state tv. Kay is on Espn to protect the brand. They have a solid voice in most of the major mediums. Ian O’Connor, Olney, guys like that were so tight with the Yankees in their time covering the team they rarely criticize them.

I don't think they've done anything wrong. This has been a problem forever. Now they are trying to fix it. And we've seen significant changes already across the league in spin rates and such. I see no reason to wait to the offseason to make a change like this. All they're doing is enforcing rules that already existed.

I don't know, seems like the whole staff has done pretty well this year. I don't recall anyone ever really complaining about his game calling (other than fans after bad pitching performances) and in fact some guys like Giolito spoke really positively of that aspect of his game. I mean I know in general quite a few pitchers are having great years but deGrom, Stro, and Walker are all having big career years with McCann as the primary catcher.
