The plan I read for the NHL in the bubble was for results to be available around 24 hours after. And once they’re in the bubble the tests become daily as well.

so they are basically in the same boat. they will get tested, join their team for the game/practice like everything is fine and then learn the following day if they have it or not. better than nothing but still risk there

The risk of spread really starts with symptoms. So the sooner you catch that positive test, the less likely it’s even possible to pass it on. 24 hour difference is a pretty big deal I think

The issue for MLB is the travel and non-bubble.

You can argue that there's risk guys in the NHL/NBA break protocol, but hypothetically once youre clean in the bubble you shouldn't see a huge breakout. It's a controlled environment.

The MLB is...........I don't know. I tried to remain positive bc there's isn't much to be positive about these days, but this always seemed very risky.

To update - Europe did this for domestic soccer leagues. They played in their home stadiums (empty of course) but did travel and weren't in a bubble per say. The porblem is they started and are playing with an environemtn that is like the Northeast US now with virus spread/cases. MLB is parachuting teams into red hot areas.

Angel Hernandez is the worst umpire going today. That called 3rd strike was nowhere close lol

No fans in the stands, very weird. I expect hockey is going to be even weirder, going to hear everything, no wonder for the broadcast delay. Lol.
