Light penalty for Houston.
Apparently domestic violence is fine but god help you if you steal signs or bet on baseball. How is that light?

Yep this was just a shit job by the MLB.They were never stripping the title, this isn't the NCAA.
They didn't need to strip the title though, all they needed to do was make it very, very, very difficult for Houston to win another one in the near future.
Nothing restricting International spending.
The draft picks are pretty much on point, the rest of it is a big pile of meh. They weren't going to strip them of their championship, but this won't really discourage teams from cheating in the future.
not sure if this is true but on michael kaye they speculated that mlb went as far as they could without getting the MLBPA involved so there is no one to fight it. if they restricted what they could spend that changes the size of the pie going to the players which the union might object to. possibly why they didn't punish any players either but who knows
not sure if this was asked but with astros losing their own draft picks...do they still get the yankees pick as compensation for losing cole?
You don’t get a team’s pick anymore. You just get a compensatory pick at the end of the first round .
but will they still get that pick?
Seriously doubt he'll be fired.Several writers today have made passing comments like "Now what do the Mets do with Beltran? " or the "mets got a decision to make with Beltran now"
I didn't give it much thought yesterday. Curious if people think they should fire him?
One guy speculates/overtly suggests, the next guy 'heard whispers' and the last guy writes a high brow article ripping the first two. Everybody gets clicks and winssss except the fansThe Mets shouldn't feel the need to consider anything
This is just media driven speculation
Cora is going to cop it. Remember when Cora was a God and Boone sucked.
