Gardner leads the Yankees in WAR by a decent margin this decade.
Who was the Yankee's player of the decade for 2000-2009? A-Rod played 5 seasons with a 41.9 WAR, Jeter 10 seasons 44.2 , Posada, 10 seasons 37.6 WAR, Mussina 8 seasons 35.2 WAR, Rivera 10 seasons 33.1.

Personally though I think it should be Rivera.

Yes. Both were washed up in the 2010s.
I wouldn't exactly call Arod washed up - posted 4+ WAR in 2010 and 2011. But what exactly is your criteria - Best single season (Judge) most WAR in decade (Gardner) or something else?

In the 4 seasons Cano played in the 2010s as a Yankee, he posted WAR of 8.1, 5.8, 8.4, 7.8. Of course he fell off a cliff a few seasons later when the mets somehow wanted him but still, he was one of the best Yankees of the decade.

Judge is a Yankees icon. Cano left for a few extra million.

It is a more subjective criteria IMO.

Names like Gardner and Cano aren't wrong, but I think Judge is the player I remember most fondly of this decade. He is the symbol of the Baby Bombers era.
