Not moving Noah and Rosario for that return. While Syndergaard isn't someone with stellar health, Correa having back issues is not something I'm going to bank on. Astros are trying to move him before he gets hurt again.
Rosario took huge strides this season, became someone who is average defensively (after his early season adjustments) and his bat was solid. Power is his next step, with plate discipline getting better. He just turned 24. Also has untapped stolen base potential.
I'd think the Astros opened up a spot for Tucker in moving out Marisnick. Probably takes over everyday in CF, moves Springer to RF and Reddick to a part time player. If Tucker isn't ready, keeps their OF the same as last season. Tucker is probably a no move for them. I could see them liking Nimmo if that kind of trade materialized.
I believe their target might be Matz in any trade, but I think the Mets are on the periphery on these trade discussions. Not the greatest match, as the Mets needs are bullpen help and offloading salary like Lowrie. Matz gives them a lefty look to go with Verlander and Greinke. Lost Cole and potentially Miley. They need someone to fill their #3 slot and they probably would help Matz get to that level, if he isn't a #3 as is. Hard to move the only lefty starter they have.
Astros should just sign Bumgarner or Ryu. Solves their issue. If they move Correa, another team with starter depth and maybe a 3rd base replacement (Bregman moves to SS) is it.
