OT: MLB Thread XLIII

He was an unnecessary and now financially crippling decision. We're stuck with this loser forever too. We're finally close to getting Ellsbury off the books and Stanton's contract will end up just as bad. Mark my words.

Cole always had the upside to be this good. For whatever he reason he never reached it in Pittsburgh.

I also look at Gray's stats and noticed that he was heavily dependent on Oakland's cavernous ballpark and he was terrible against the Red Sox in his career. That alone should have been a deal breaker.

Gray was in Cy Young contention this year with Reds. Just saying.

Two diving catches, Gardner missing a homer by a foot.

Also, Didi and DJ grounding out with RISP with new pitchers in the game on the first pitch wasn't great.

Don't want Nats winning. Hope Houston sweep them and Game 1 is Cole's last game.

There are a lot of pieces I like from the Mets: Rosario, Conforto, McNeil. But I imagine they'd want to hold onto those players than make a risky move for Sanchez/Andujar. I honestly don't know what we can get for them.

IDK what happened to Gary's ability to draw walks his rookie season, but if he gets to that level we need to keep him.

That's the face David Quinn makes after Andersson does something good and he knows he's not moving him up in the lineup anyway.

We dont have anyone on Altuves level.not many do.Judge is great,but hes never going to get to Altuve level

The Mets will never trade with us.

Also not sure why everyone has a career minor leaguer penciled into our lineup.

There is no way Cashman is getting Moustakas. He hates left handed hitters. He's another low average hitter but at least he puts the ball in play.
