I can at least watch SNY for the post game thru the NBCSN app. Might have to get MLB At Bat for the stretch run if they keep this up.

Rally in the 9th to tie and a lot of times when that happens the pitcher can reset with nobody on. Panik put together a good at bat, fouled off a few pitches and got a hit. Kept the pressure on and put Doolittle right back out there with a runner on.

That's why you get someone with a history of success and veterans. Not to mention someone that puts the ball in play instead of striking out too often.

Nice call!!!
Thanks bud, well was it Frazier earlier in year? My memory is horrific, but somehow I had a feeling......did my "Dolittle" reverse jinx by saying we didn't deserve to win. I meant it at the time......jeez, never really expected this. Thought that extra run they scored would bite us in the ass. Thank God it didn't eventually matter.

I would walk Rendon 4 times tomorrow Noah. Dont let him beat you and us.

I will never slander Todd Frazier again.
I have been destroying Frazier all season up until about a month ago. Kept yelling, go back to the friggin Yankees, I dont want you on my team. Partially because of his lousy swings and because I want JD to get substantial PT. He has been playing left, so I am okay with Frazier at 3rd, and he HAS been hitting.

You need to be really happy to rip a teammate's jersey off

Just back from the Met watch party. A bit buzzed from a few cocktails but how could I not be after what we just witnessed. Probably as exciting a game as we've seen since 2016.

This was 2015 all over again. We won a few games exactly like this that year as we went on that sick run in August/September on our way to WS. I actually think this team is better than that one but that's a discussion for another time.

Couple of quick thoughts:

Mets dodged a few bullets just as Nationals did. Stromen pitched really well IMO other than that one inning when he left the ball up in the zone a few times. He settled down and stepped up to the stage and was exactly what I expected. We are lucky to have him

Ramos came thru with a big hit in 9th but he was pretty lackadaisical on that 6th Nats run...almost cost us.

Alonso and Davis are the new "bash brothers". Phenomenal the run they are on.

Frazier and Conforto both come thru in huge ways. Panik didn't look out of place.

I dunno, just a real fun time tonight in one of the more exciting games you'll ever want to see.

So where do we go from here?

Well now pressure is all on Nats as Mets did exactly what I was hoping they'd do which was win the first game for sure and than see if the pressure can get to the Nats.

I'm confident that we can figure out a way to win one of these next two with deGrom and Noah going but you can't discount a sweep if we win tomorrow...who knows? That was the significance of tonight...the Nats know the Mets are for real and if you guys recall, in 2015, Cespedes, Murphy and the boys broke out the lumber bigtime as we swept the Nats I believe twice down the stretch.

Who the hell knows with this team anymore as I'm not putting anything past them. We'll see what happens.

Hell of a win boys...so happy.
