Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. At least Panik is a lefty. The problem the Mets had is they were an easy out at the bottom with Frazier Lagares Hech sometimes Nido all being righties who will frequently chase. If you bring in an RHP out of the pen who is a side armer with a deadly slider they can pretty much mow down 3-4 straight guys. Now you potentially force the opposing manager to go to a lefty to get Panik out. Thankfully if they somehow make late September in it or October it’s likely one or both of Smith and Nimmo will be back

2 hours from game time gentleman. Starting to get that antsie feeling...you know what I mean? Same feeling I get before Ranger playoff games, is what I'm feeling right now.Sure the Mets can afford to lose a game in this 3 game series but I don't want it to be tonight. I want us to send a message from the get go.
If we lose Saturday or Sunday...fine, we'll deal with it. I want the Nats to start to get stressed out by losing tonight and have them thinking that this is 2015 all over again when we embarrassed the shit out of them those final 2 months of the season.
Tonight is also important for Stromen. He gets to make a statement as well by pitching a solid game and keeping us in the game while he's out there.
I've seen him pitch in the playoffs and he's done fine and so I'm not concerned he'll be up for the task.
Bottom line: Win tonight and it takes an enormous load off of us and it puts it squarely on the Nationals backs. If we lose, than we need to win two in a row. I'd rather do it the easy way...win tonight and split the other two game. Or better yet...pull the sweeperoo but I'm not getting greedy here. Wins 2 of 3 and we move on the Braves.
That's it from here....I be pumped up. We actually have important August baseball games to look forward too...I'm still shaking my head about this seeing 3 weeks ago we were dead in the water.....amazing...simply amazing.
Heading to a buddies house now...so let's do this. This is going to be fun. Let's Go Mets! Catch you guys hopefully for the "happy recap"....

The tweet by Cabrera makes me laugh. The Mets "had their chance off season". Cant compare Cabrera with Cano to begin with, but their agenda was really getting Diaz.
