We lost this series because good pitching shuts this lineup down like clockwork, we've been one of the worst defensive teams in the AL this year, and Boone managing a bullpen is like a blind man with no hands doing a rubik's cube.

Granted, it would be nice to get a starter this offseason and see Cashman actually address a need. I wonder what power hitters we'll bring in.

Chapman didn't suck because he's taxed, he sucked because he hasn't done a f***ing thing in five days.

We could have used him yesterday instead of bringing in AJ Cole to give up another run we couldn't afford.

Like I said, I'd like to add another starter and no, they don't go deep enough. That doesn't absolve Boone of completely screwing the pooch with this pen on a regular basis. I've never seen a manager more clueless with a pitching staff. What exactly did he expect from Chapman tonight? His only other blown save this year was also after a 5+ day layoff.

They should've sold high on him when he was leading the league in doubles. He's been badly exposed on the national stage and his defense has gotten progressively worse since his call up.

Why would the Mets trade the best pitcher in the NL for a package headlined by a guy that is allergic to defense and drawing walks?

Because defense can improve. A lot of his problems are with his feet, which is the EASIEST thing to fix by far.

If you think teams wouldn't still be interested in him even with his current defense you're kidding yourself.

Let's not forget he's only 23. My issues with Andujar are his allergies to walks and also lack of plate discipline. Never walked at any level and hasn't shown any improvement.

You better add helluva lot more to Andujar for DeGrom who is one of the best pitchers in the game.
