Source tells me the Yankees’ interest in Orioles closer Zach Britton “is real.” Up to a half-dozen teams are still in the mix, but Yankees appear ready to make a serious push for the LHP. @martinonyc was first (I believe) to connect Yankees and Britton.

I just want Archer at this point. Zero interest in Fulmer. Meh on Happ and Hamels. Just dont know what is out there for us that is an upgrade from Gray. I mean I think we definitely need to add at least one arm. Ideally add Archer and hopefully Syndergaard or DeGrom become available

I've given up on Archer. His FIP always outpeforms his ERA and his stuff is nasty so you always hope he's gonna be that front line guy but it hasn't come. His strikeouts are down this year now too.

The Dads apparently are in on him and if he goes to a more pitcher friendly place like Petco that keeps more balls in teh park, he might see better results.

Archer does cause concerns for me. But we need a better option than Cessa/German to round out the rotation. Then we could look to see if someone else becomes available such as a DeGrom. We need a SP badly
