Torres is really ****ing on my nerves.
What an absolute dog shit AB today when they were starting to rally. Just awful

I dont wana hear about him being young. Its knowing the f***ing game and situation. Youre down 2 runs. No outs. 1st and 3rd. The pitcher hasnt been locating well at all. And you go up and swing at a first pitch breaking ball?!?! That is some stupid stupid baseball. Stupid. Its selfish. Stop trying to over do it and stay within yourself. Look fastball first pitch and if it isnt there then take. And spray the next pitch. No need for him to swing out of his shoes. Selfish

All the potential in the world to be an excellent hitter but he thinks he's Babe Ruth.

Newsflash, kid: you've never had outstanding power and you never will. You'll hit 20-25 homers and be a great hitter or you'll hit 30 with a .290 OBP. The choice is yours.

Latter. HR is sexy and it's addictive to hit it. Like winning the lottery a little, except they fool themselves and feel in complete control of the lottery.

Runners on 1st and 3rd, a hit is great, gets a run and keeps the rally going....but a HR makes you the hero.

Didi might make it to the Hall of Fame before Tulo gets back.

You know what just hit me? Your avatar. How did Jimmy Fallon end up with Hank, the Chicken Man, and the Undertaker?

Haha, I’m not sure, never saw the sketch they all did, just the pic online, but I’m pretty sure the chicken is Brad Maddox.

Can't be giving up HR to guys like Jose Iglesias

But I can' t kill Diaz. He's pitched 4 out of the last 5 days and for some reason Lugo was in to only throw 4 pitches?

This “little engine that could” stuff with the Yankees has an approaching expiration date. They need to start having some of the starters trickling back into the lineup very soon.

They did an absolutely fantastic job for what it was and put the team in a great position to save the season, but I agree, we need to start getting healthy.

Well, we need to stop getting hurt first. :ha:

I don't think deGrom ever did that.
Yeah, he didn't. There were a couple games last year where he pitched really well and drove in the only runs, but not what Thor did today. I think I saw something that said he was the first guy to pitch a CG SO, hit a HR, and win 1-0 since 1983 or something.

EDIT: CG 1-0 win with a HR accounting for the run last happened in 1983 and has only happened seven times.
