Luke Voit is built like those barrels they used to tumble down Niagara Falls in the early 1900s for pre television clout.

With MLB Draft pretty much here, saw this pop up on Twitter. Well worth the watch.

Familia is goddamn awful. Another one that was going to be predictably bad. High walk and hits per 9, but managed to get out of it all last couple seasons. Never sustainable.

Callaway is in trouble again. Not entirely his fault. I felt the pen simply let him down in LA as he needed to use all his A guys because Vargas was going the next day. Last night though he made a slew of mistakes. Gagnon not being in for the 8th, the odd use of Diaz etc. I think regardless of what happens today he’s got this Giants and Rockies series and has to go 4-3 or better. The good news is the Mets aren’t buried. The bad is I still don’t see them going any better than like 86-76 with this roster even bringing in a guy like Baker or Showalter as some of the beat guys rumored last week. As a side note I would also not trade Dom Smith anytime soon. Wait out the proceedings this winter on the possibility of the NL DH. If it still appears it’s not going anywhere then you can move him next spring or next season but I wouldn’t give this guy up now at all

This def isn’t Callaways fault. I still think he’s a bad manager but that’s bedsides the point.

The holes in this team were glaring from day one. Brodie went out to splash the papers and get the buzz going. Sexy deals instead of smart ones. The Wilpon way.

They have Plenty of young talent and are going to squander it yet again. Chasing wild cards
