That misplay last night was like something a little leaguer would do.
Yea. It was clear as day he had no chance. The problem is he's been too tentative letting outs drop in front of him and he's caught in between. He's having difficulty recognizing what he can get and what he can't get. So he's gone the opposite now and is diving practically after the ball has already landed 5 feet in front of him. Not even close enough to block the ball from getting passed him after.

Pete going to start hitting home runs with just his fists

My sports existence feels impossibly better knowing we just started him with the team out of the gate.

Dodgers are really really good. Between them and Astros for the best team in baseball.

That said Roberts is 100% fired in November if they don’t win the World Series. I think their bullpen needs work but nobody in the NL should beat them in a series as currently constructed. The AL is another story. I would also be skipping Kershaw every other start beginning August 1. It’s been obvious last 2-3 years that when he gets over 225 innings he begins to become less effective

Such a bad loss for the Mets. I missed it live - just saw the highlights.

Hopefully get a win today to take the split.

3 in Arizona, then SF and Colorado for 3 each at home. Have to go 6-3 in that stretch before it's Yankees, STL, CHC, ATL again.

The Mets needed to go 3-4 on this trip. Given how good LA is and Arizona is no joke you’d take that for sure. Fortunately they can still do that

Holy ****, I didn't realize Cody Bellinger was having a historic season so far.

.378 batting average, 20 home runs, 52 RBI's. Was hitting around .400 only a few days ago or so.

On pace for 13 fWAR season which is just beyond ridiculous.

Hard to believe this is the same guy who couldn't buy a hit couple postseasons ago.

They're 6 games out. With 2 teams ahead of them in the East. It's hard to aim for 3-4 road trips down that much.

It's not over by any means. But they need to go on a run that keeps them well above .500. This ain't cutting it.
