Was listening in on the game and they were speculating that they didn't want to go to Diaz in the 8th possibly due to him being up the night before and pitching in the games earlier in the series. It would have been the ideal spot for that. It worked against the Nats, but a team with a real bullpen and the game likely ends 4-3.

Not having Lugo has hurt them. He should be in that role when he comes back. Familia can take the 7th for a while.

I <3 Carlos Gomez. He was my favorite prospect since Alex Escobar. Nice to see him come full circle and have some moments. And his enthusiasm is amazing. He's like a kid.

Also need his intangibles for the next Phillies game when he grabs Rhys Hoskins by the ankles and 360 helicopter launches him into outer space.

Glad me moved on from him. Dude is cooked. Sad thing is he still probably has enough stuff to be an effective pitcher if he could swallow his pride right and really learn to pitch with lesser stuff.
