MLB updated their top 100 prospect lists - Florial (52) and Losaiga (59) made it.

Thankfully we didn't trade Florial for Sonny Gray.

Gotta figure that Mickey's seat is getting warmer and warmer.

Also, it was hilarious that Berti hit a leadoff homer on the following pitch after Gary said, "Matz has a first inning ERA of 12.00."
 
That trade is an even bigger disaster than previously thought. Mets are once again old and just not talented enough along with a long term albatross contract. People thought Cespedes and his contract are a problem with his injuries. Wait until they see these next 5 years unfolds with Cano. I can't believe I'm saying this but thank god for the Rangers seeing as the Giants and Mets are both being run straight into the ground.

Yep, trade made zero sense when it was announced.

Is it worth giving those pieces for a reliever when Craig Kimbrel, one of the best relievers of this generation, is still out on the FA market? Diaz is good, but he's only been elite for one season. The trade hurts more because Cano has negative value now as opposed to the ~5 WAR he was the past 5 years. On the other hand, that can't be too surprising with his age, so it was a very bad gamble to take even without hindsight. He even had knee surgery this offseason performed by the Mets.

No idea why he would open this game. Let him continue to build up his confidence in the right spots. Chance Adams should have been the option even if he failed he still was the better option.

Still strongly believe Boone does not have any feel for his pitching staff and has gotten incredibly lucky with a lot of his decisions with who he has brought in at various times in different situations these last few weeks.
 
Ahahahhahah!!!! And there it is! The clown show Boone brings in Cortes Jr to follow up Green.

Why in the f*** is Cortes even with the organization still? You have to take the toys away from Boone for him to not play with them.

What a gong show this is him managing his pitching staff.

It's another spring training game.

Not like we are competing against a team for spot 1st place in the division or anything.

All too often he makes the most idiotic decisions as if its no big deal to throw away a game.

He is a terrible in game manager. I will continue to say this and firmly believe this team, if they win anything, will be in spite of him and Rothschild.

Agreed.

Sucks that Tito extended his contract for another 2 years.
 
So Brody vanWegenen supposedly flew back to NY this morning...you have to figure that is to either talk Fred and Jeff out of firing Callway or they're deciding whether or not to do it
