Great showing by the Mets. Hang 11 on the board without a homer. Stringing hits and walks. Good stuff. I expect homers morning forward, too, but this is also great to see. Good situational hitting.

Bringing Brett Gardner back after he was shot last year, Hicks and his chronic back can’t come back soon enough.
 
Yanks will still win over 95 games and the orioles will still lose over 100.

In other news, Jeff McNeil has 4 4-hit games after 65 games.

You should be betting the Orioles then since they were +330 both games vs the Yanks. I don't think I've seen a bigger favorite than the Yanks at -400.

That's just silly. The Yankees have had trouble with the O's for awhile.
 
Angelos hates the Yankees more than anything. He basically treats these games like George did with every Mets game. Even in spring training. Maybe he offers his guys $100 gift cards to Ruby Tuesdays if they get an RBI or 1-2-3 inning.

In all fairness, the bats were dead today. It happens. I just think it’s hysterical that it’s Game 2 and fans already are calling for the head of Sanchez
 
I'm not too upset with Stanton there because it's a situation where he's trying to tee off.

I'd be upset if a base hit tied the game.
 
Love McNeil in that 6 spot. Alonso is an absolute stud.

This offense has such a different approach and it’s fun to watch... Put up 11 runs and Cano went 0-5. 7 RBI’s with 2 outs.
 
Mets have an intriguing team all around. They play in a meh division and their inter league this year is the AL Central.

I want to believe they can play interesting baseball deep into this season if they can somehow manage to not become a mortuary for the billionth year in a row.
