Pump the brakes, Dad

Wheeler trying to shake off the cobwebs, still hitting 98-99 on the radar gun

Mickey Calloway should not be managing an MLB team. All he does is over manage. We should be looking to sweep but rests our two best hitter after one game? You rest them tomorrow against the Marlins. Regardless of that the Mets have bailed him out the first two games.

Should have never been brought back. The guy is finished.
The fact that he is batting leadoff is even more infuriating.

I dont care that its game 3 but its shit like this that makes me have little faith in Boone who had no managerial experience before this.

Gardner kills another inning.

Yea definitely not worth letting Frazier work through his struggles over watching this junk from Gardner. Trash hitter

Resting McNeil, a lefty, vs Corbin, one of the best lefties in the game, is not a problem for me.

Corbin is overrated and had one good season, that contract will be an albatross before it’s over. I told yankees fans tocbe glad when they missed on him. Even today against a meh lineup he pitched to a 1.40 WHIP and half the lineup had never faced him before. If you ask me Ron Darling’s argument that Wheeler, Corbin, and Arrieta decide this division is very logical. All three teams have fairly poor to so-so 4 and 5 starters but above average to great 1 and 2s. There’s a solid chance those guys will determine in 25-30 starts the 5 game margin it will take to win the division

Sure I don't disagree but I don't mind resting lefties against tough lefties. I'm not interested in resting everyone against the Marlins. Mets went 12-7 against them not 19-0. That said imdont like resting Ramos either. Then again I don't understand why Nido is even on the team.

I didn’t know this but I think the most games Ramos has ever played is like 115 and keep in mind probably a bunch of those weren’t starts. That said there’s no reason to rest him this soon.
