I would love Harper for the versatility to have him at 1B, LF, or even CF. And he is a lefty bat

He will be.Has to be a long man/#5.
He will be.
Trade for Kluber or Paxton and it's a good offseason, even without a Machado or a Harper.
I really don't understand what Cashman is doing.
CC is lucky to get through five innings at this point. He is one of the reasons that the bullpen was worn down by the postseason.Ya, shame on Cashman for securing a solid#3-4 pitcher on a reasonable short-term contract.
Yea awesome more 4 inning performances cant wait!Ya, shame on Cashman for securing a solid#3-4 pitcher on a reasonable short-term contract.

He averages 5.3 innings per start.Yea awesome more 4 inning performances cant wait!
He had plenty of starts where he had absolutely nothing and had to be yanked early. He is also a big injury risk with his knee problems. He averages 5.3 innings per start.
Okay, but you're still wrong about him being 'lucky' to get 5 innings - he averaged well over that per start. He had plenty of starts where he had absolutely nothing and had to be yanked early. He is also a big injury risk with his knee problems.
You're right but it's not gonna happen.Sure, if he takes a discount for playing 1B. That spot should be saved for Andujar though.
Who plays center field?- Hicks for Carrasco (Win-Win for both teams)
- Try to get Paxton without parting with Andujar, Torres or Sheffield (Last is unlikely)
I would be happy if these were the moves for the offseason.
I'll pass. Maybe Judge in center, Stanton in right, DH Andujar.Gardner's corpse
You're right but it's not gonna happen.
The good news is, that likely means he's staying. We need more of Andujar's ilk in the lineup, not less.
I'm mixed on Harper at 1B. We need a 1B and we need a lefty bat, but he does nothing to diversify this lineup.
No, no he should not be. You sign Happ, Corbin, and trade for a starter and you have filled out your 5. No reason he should be here. You have countless arms that could fill the 5 spot if they didnt get all 3 of those guys plus Montgomery coming back at some point.Okay, but you're still wrong about him being 'lucky' to get 5 innings - he averaged well over that per start.
TBF, he should be a #5 guy in this rotation - if he isn't, then Cashman has failed this offseason.
We can have both.We need the arms more than we need Andujar.
Pitcher throws less frequently against better hitting teams? You don't say...No, no he should not be. You sign Happ, Corbin, and trade for a starter and you have filled out your 5. Stop pointing to an average of 5.3 innings pitched when many of the games that he went longer skewing that number were against mediocre lineups.
$8 million wasted
