Girardi decided Hughes wasn't good enough to start against the Red Sox but he's good enough to come in from the bullpen

I could careless if he's in the rotation now. why not Huff tonight? With no Robertson, Kelley, Rivera, you have to do whatever you can to get the win. Joe did not do that.

Not throwing in the towel, but I think the Hughes and Joba experiments are over after tonight. Watching Yankee killer Napoli hit the grand slam off the top of the wall was the icing on the cake. Holy smokes, what a collapse. So depressing to watch live.

I tell ya, leave the Mets organization and your chances of throwing a no-hitter or perfect game increase tenfold.

The Yankees are moving to WFAN

But come next season, Mets games no longer will be heard on the FAN, where they are expected to be replaced by their cross-town rivals.

The Yankees and CBS Radio are close to a deal that would put the Yankees on WFAN starting in 2014, a person familiar with the negotiations told Newsday.

The arrangement would bump the Mets off the radio station that has carried them since its inception on July 1, 1987.

It is not clear where the Mets would land, but among the options are ESPN New York and WOR-AM, which is owned by Clear Channel Media, a serious bidder for the Yankees rights earlier in the process.

CBS owned the radio rights to both the Yankees and Mets. The Yankees were on WCBS 880.

Soriano seriously might be the greatest trade deadline (or near there) pick up in the history of baseball, my God.

Yankees beat the O's.. Red Sox beat the Rays... Cleveland and Texas are also both losing.

Yankees gain games on pretty much everyone in the WC race. 2 games back.

Seriously, he won't win it because of the giant payroll, but IF somehow the Yankees do get into the playoffs... He should win manager of the year in the AL.. I can name more Yankees who weren't injured than the ones that were at some point or another this season. He has done an incredible job with everything that has happened to the teams's health this season.

For instance in just today's game alone.. Nova leaves the game due to triceps tightness, Arod leaves the game due to hamstring tightness, and Romine has a probable concussion.. all in one game, unbelievable.

Nice to see the Sox returning the help to the Yanks after they beat the Yanks 3 of 4, nice job beating up the Rays.

The Yankees were a .500 team when all their expensive guys got healthy and Soriano was acquired.

IMO Farrell was handed a **** sandwich and turned it into a Porterhouse. Girardi shouldnt sniff MOY.

Half the Yankees were injured throughout the season and that Boston roster is good. Lackey was bound to turn things around and thats not on John Farrell.

Boston was also hit hard with injuries last season. Same way Yankees have been hit this season.

The lineup of Ellsbury/Pedroia/Ortiz/Gonzalez/Crawford didn't play together for a single game last season.

Robertson blows the lead in the 8th and the Yankees come back with one in the 9th and Mo closes the door.. BIG WIN... This team just don't give up.
