Good luck prying Bogaerts away from Sox. Top-4 prospect in baseball.

I can see Cubs souring on Castro. Lots of tools but no toolbox.

While a guy like Ellsbury could and most likely will get pricey (Boras client) he'd serve 2 purposes for Mets. Gives them a CF they lack and also a legit lead off hitter.

Yeah it would take alot to pry away Bogaerts and probably not likely.

Castro would be a more likely target, especially since the cubs have Javier Baez waiting in the wings. Plus Castro is young, i think he is only 23.

Maybe a trade with the Rangers to get Luis Sardinas who is a highly touted SS prospect instead. Rangers will always need pitching and they have Elvis Andrus who is only 24.

Flexen looks like a legit prospect for the Mets as well.

• Chris Flexen, rhp, Mets. Don’t read too much into Flexen’s status as a 14th-round pick out of last year’s draft. The Mets went well over slot ($374,400) to sign the projectable prep righty out of Newark, Calif., and he’s shined brightly with Rookie-level Kingsport this season. After throwing a nine-inning, 11-strikeout shutout yesterday in which he allowed two hits, Flexen ranks among the Appy League leaders in several categories, including ERA (2.14), strikeouts (56), shutouts (two—one of them a seven-inning complete game) and WHIP (0.95). The 19-year-old Flexen shows uncanny command of a low 90s fastball and can spin a quality breaking ball, making him perhaps the Mets’ top arm at the short-season level.

Went to the game last night. Ike absolutely killed his HR shot. One of those no doubters.

4 games out of a wildcard. It may be a bit late but at least it's fun to watch them again.

He is a meh prospect for me. From what I have read about him his ceiling would probably be a Dillon Gee. I think most likely he will end up as a bullpen piece.

I'm higher on Akeel Morris down in Brooklyn. He has been pitching fantastic this year but still needs to work on his control.

Speaking of control wtf happened to Tapia. He has the raw tools, but really needs to learn how to harness it like he did in the beginning of the season.

huge 3 game series coming up with Tampa Bay this weekend.

We just have to keep winning series, but if nothing else, this bodes well for next season at the very least providing we keep Cano that is.

I've never liked Baseball, but I've been trying to learn more about it this year. I've gained a lot more appreciation for it and it's been a lot of fun watching the yankees recently.

After Noah there's a drop off. Montero and mejia have good stuff but after that all the rest are really wild cards.

I don't include Harv or wheels since both of them have already arrived.

Those 2 plus Noah Jon and dillon makes for an impressive 1-5.

I just wish we had a legit OF power prospect down on the farm. We literally have no one but Lucas duda and he's so-so at best. Puello was that guy but he's been suspended and who knows.

I really like what we are building. Mets fans are beginning to see the future and it looks bright.

Lagares continues to show his defensive skills- he's an exciting player, d'rno will be a fixture, Ike is showing signs - absolute bomb he hit the other day, Flores can flat out rake as long as he has a spot to play and although he's good for a few wtf plays now and again, the murph just continues to produce at the plate. He's a professional hitter.

If nimmo continues to develop his bat he may grab a corner of spot- hes a great athlete, cecchini looks to be a smart, steady, all around ss prospect and nick smith has solid lefty power and some insurance if Ike never finds his game.

Overall, things look pretty solid beginning next year but certainly for 15.

Absolutely there is a huge dropoff after Syndergaard. He is being talked about in baseball circles as a future ace of a staff. If he pans out we could potentially have 3 #1 pitchers in Harvey, Wheeler, and Syndergaard. Plus Niese and Gee and you're absolutely correct that is one hell of a rotation.

Nimmo is an interesting prospect. He is on fire right now in the SAL. Earliest he would get called up is Sept 2015 if he progresses well enough.

I forgot about Puello, which I am ashamed about because he is one of my favorite Mets prospects. He just has to work taking a walk a little more. I think he will be able to start the season next year as his suspension will be over. He will probably start in AAA but be a mid season call-up.

The problem with Flores is that he has no position. He might be good trade bait with an AL team to get a SS or OF. He would be a perfect DH.

No doubt Nimmo has been affected by that wrist injury.

Cecchini has been disappointing to say the least.
