It's funny that we never hear about a cap % in no tax states (e.g. Florida where Reinhart just signed 8x$8.625M), or other desirable markets (e.g. Boston where Pasta fairly recently signed 8x$11.25) but for some reason in Toronto, where the players gets unparalleled endorsement opportunities, treated like rockstars, etc. it's all about % of the cap and justified contracts.
It's a joke and I personally think it's time we start leveraging the advantages of our market into not having to pay top dollar seemingly every single time.
