How is Draisaitl a -6? I’m not looking debate the worth of +/- just wondering how a player with 107 points in 66 games could be a negative.

Oh, and requiring that young players be dominant to stick on the roster is how Hextall trapped himself into overpaying garbage veterans instead of slotting young players with upside who are "merely" useful into those slots.

Nothing to do with "dominant," how about "competent."
Couts really didn't emerge until he was 23, but even at 19, he could play 4C.
12th in ES TOI at 19
9th in ES TOI at 20
2nd in TOI at 21
Couts provided good enough defensive play that they could give him time to develop offensively. Frost can't do that.

Giroux didn't start until he turned 21, and was 7th in ES TOI that season, 5th the next season when he struggled, then 7th in TOI in the playoffs, when he broke out.
Giroux was a much better player when he broke into the lineup than Frost has been this year.

Frost just hasn't been very good this year, not terrible, just "meh."
So it's merely a question of which flavor of "meh" AV prefers.

49.08% xGF; -0.16 xGFrel

defense seems to be an afterthought on the Oilers.
They have 3 forwards and a defenseman with xGA/60 > 2.50.

"Good enough" isn't what you said. You said dominant.

Frost is absolutely "good enough." He was generating points and was able to move the puck up ice more efficiently than the average bottom sixer.

You've done the thing where you've chosen to die on a hill. I don't think this has ever worked out for you before.

When u make trades, and Tyler Ennis ends up on your 1st line, it might indicate their lack of talent around Leon.

The "dominate" and "bias" misuse may be my biggest language pet peeves. It's nails on a chalkboard to my eyes. Then there's the next tier down:

irregardless
I could care less
It's a mute point

Well looks like things get a little tricky if we don’t keep winning and we want to stay ahead of the pens.

Pens play Carolina x 4
Rangers x 2
Caps x 2
Isles

All in March!

If there will be max two 3-point games, it will be great for us!
