Yeah they should use it in pre-season...but also in the AHL for a season and iron out any issue. That would give them a big sample size to work with.

To me it's crazy that they are going to test it out in 20 regular season games...then have it in the playoffs.

And for those who didn't ready the article, it does say that players have tested it out and they used Crosby as an example of a guy who can tell the difference.

If anyone can tell a difference it means multiple players will as well. These people have spent a lifetime using a certain kind of puck and becoming exceptionally precise and finessellent with it. Change it and you better believe it's getting noticed.

If changes to the puck means it leaves the stick differently or rebounds differently then there's gonna be goaltending issues too.

Also heard tho that they have already been using them and 24 teams have played with them and had no clue
