Which is why the league finally did the right thing, don't force players to endorse political positions, implicitly or explicitly.
Corporations are best served staying out of lobbying for political and social issues, "corporate social responsiblity" is an oxymoron.
It is the people in corporations who should as citizens be involved in social issues.
Which is why treating the corporate entity as a "person" is a fatal flaw in American jurisprudence.

Support for political causes is wildly different from taking a minute to assure a set of people that you don't want them stripped of their rights.

This is bad faith even by your poor standards.

Is the end game to be equal, or superior? To get a leg up, or special treatment.

It’s already harder for me to get a job let’s say because of my own skin colour, at least in my field. I don’t get to claim exceptional status. The question is will sex preference soon fit a preferred category?

Simply a question.

As a straight white dude colonizer. With my upper hand. Man. All this land I’m supposed to own. Not sure where that is.

Equality is 100% cool, somehow I don’t think that’s what it’s just about. It’s a dog eat dog world. I used to be all Kum bah yah. I got shown first hand that it’s just a competition.

Are you suggesting the gays are coming to take our jobs? Lol

I don’t think that’s what it’s about. I think people should separate what gets sensationalized with what’s actually being asked for too.

Haha damn right there are!

No im not even if the statement does come off as that - I can admit my faults and laugh.

I do think people sadly take good causes and take things too far to get an advantage. Is there a concern that sex preference or whatever could cause preferential treatment somehow? I don’t think that’s outlandish, because it’s worked in the favour of straight folks forever.

I’m just jaded as I age. I think equality has been taken advantage of, and I have it hard enough. It’s selfish to say maybe, but anything that potentially makes my life harder. Like if it ever became a job thing or something, yeah I’m not super down.

The sentiment I’m losing. It’s just I see so much politicized, or just for advantage that I have zero trust for any new cause.

I dunno. Appreciate the Convo.

The thing is the Predators need the space as they seem in for DeBrincat, and would you move Johansen for nothing to do that? Yeah probably instead of devaluing your package.

That’s not the case for the Flyers.
