That’s a good question. Thing is, it was 6v4, so Vegas is not only outnumbered but Florida has an extra skater.

This shouldn't matter. A team can employ a 6th 'skater' at any point they so choose.

Pie leaving the box should mean no less than a skater leaving the box on any random PK. He should be suspended, but he won't be.

The problem here is solely that the NHL needs a "new, non-traditional" franchise to win so they can keep pushing the US narrative vs relocating struggling teams to welcoming Canadian markets. Rinse, repeat, keep cap te same. Hooray for mediocrity.

They showed highlights earlier in the game of him shying away from contact and in obvious pain on the bench. He's definitely got some type of injury going on
